Pottsville Playgroup
Playgroup : weekly sessions where parents, carers and children aged 0-6 years can come together in a relaxed and friendly environment. Playgroup offers a wide range of fun activities including painting, cutting and pasting, playing with playdough, storytelling, music and singing; and we are always open to new ideas.

Pottsville Toddler Tunes and Stories
is a weekly, child-centred group for Tweed Coast familiesto experience fun
with music and movement, and to develop language skills and imaginative
play through themed story-time and related drama activities.
Free membership.

Side by Side
Social support group for
Aspergers children and young people.
Side By Side
has been formed by families with members on the austism
sprectrum. It is aimed at aspergers children and
young people in the school age range (5-18 years) and
their families.
Where: Sand Bar Room

1st Saturday of the month - Combined primary and
secondary school ages.
3rd Saturday of the month -

Pottsville Toy Library
Pottsville Toy Library : a free service for all Tweed Coast families made possible through
funding from NSW Department of Human Services - Families
and Communities - Families NSW and Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre's
volunteer program.
This facility is provided for children aged 1-7 years with educational toys designed to improve thinking and fine motor skills.
When: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 12:30pm

Pottsville Parenting Insights
Facilitated sessions exploring parenting issues and
education/skills development. Our programs are
strengths-based and focus on positive achievements for
families. The programs include individual support, small
groups, courses (such as 1-2-3 Magic) and seminars. PPI
is delivered in partnership with Pottsville Preschool.

CircusGym:
Fun-filled
gymnastics and circus skills-based activities for school
age students. Students benefit by participating in
team building activities and challenging themselves in a
safe and nurturing group setting. Students gain
confidence through independent and group performance.
When: Monday afternoons 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Brighter Futures
Brighter Futures (BF) is an early intervention program which aims to support mums, pregnant mums, dads and children from birth to 8 years of age by identifying and building on their family's strengths. This program is administered by the Consortium of Neighbourhood Centres – Far North Coast , and in the Tweed Shire, is placed at the Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre (PBNC). BF Family Development Workers support families by: linking them with other services they may need; helping them to access quality children's services; helping with transport; running parenting programs; and making home visits. People eligible for this program will have children from birth to 8 years of age and present with any number of challenges in life, including: a lack of support from family or friends; feelings of isolation; needing help with parenting or supervision; mental health issues; learning difficulties or behaviour problems; drug or alcohol problems; violence in the family; problems managing child behaviour.
